Atlassian Cloud Price Updates
Atlassian has announced cloud list-price changes that will apply to new purchases, renewals, and upgrades beginning October 13, 2026 PT. Organizations using Jira, Confluence, Jira Service Management, Bitbucket, or Atlassian Guard should review their licensing and renewal plans now.
What is changing?
The announced adjustments range from 3% to 10%, depending on the product, plan, and seat count. Larger environments are generally facing the higher end of the increase range.
Jira Cloud Standard and Premium: 7% below 5,000 seats and 10% above 5,000 seats; Enterprise: 8%.
Confluence Cloud Standard and Premium: 7% below 5,000 seats and 10% above 5,000 seats; Enterprise: 8%.
Jira Service Management and Service Collection: 7.5% for Standard and Premium, and 10% for Enterprise.
Bitbucket Cloud Premium: 10%; the Standard plan's minimum five-seat tier is being removed.
Jira Product Discovery: 5% for Standard and Premium.
Atlassian Guard: 3% for Standard and 5% for Premium.
Teamwork Collection: 7% below 5,000 seats, 10% above 5,000 seats, and 8% for Enterprise.
Japanese-yen billing: a 7.3% adjustment is listed as part of the move toward USD-aligned pricing.
Why Atlassian says prices are increasing
Atlassian says the adjustments reflect continued investment in the Teamwork Graph, AI agents, Rovo capabilities, enterprise infrastructure, observability, security, and reliability. Jira and Confluence are being positioned as AI-native work platforms, with context and automation embedded across everyday workflows.
What procurement teams should do now?
Audit active seats and remove inactive or unassigned accounts before the new rates apply.
Request renewal quotes before October 13, 2026, and compare monthly versus annual billing.
Evaluate multi-year or early-renewal options if budget predictability is important.
Revisit Bitbucket Standard provisioning, especially for smaller teams that may benefit from removal of the five-seat minimum.
Compare Teamwork Collection bundles with standalone products to confirm which structure best fits actual usage.
Confirm how the organization plans to roll out Atlassian Rovo and other AI capabilities.
The practical takeaway
The October 13 deadline creates a clear procurement window. Organizations that understand their real seat usage, secure comparable renewal quotes, and choose the right billing commitment can reduce surprises and make the price change part of a broader licensing strategy.
